The William & Mary Symphony Orchestra Board is composed of student members of the orchestra who are responsible for many aspects of the WMSO’s administrative and social operation. The Orchestra Board works closely with the Music Director, Dr. Grandis, to create the best possible experience for its members. Anna Del Favero ’25
Anna is an alumn who majored in Kinesiology with a Nutrition Concentration, and minored in Biochemistry. She has played cello since tenth grade as well as piano since the third grade. Anna has been a member of WMSO since her freshman spring, and has cherished every minute of it.
Outside of orchestra, Anna serves as the treasurer for the Nu Kappa Epsilon Music Sorority, works part-time at the Cheese Shop, and ushers for Bruton Parish Church’s Candlelight Concert series in Colonial Williamsburg. She plans to attend pharmacy school and pursue the clinical pharmacist route.

Nash English ’25
Nash English (he/him) is a William and Mary Symphony Orchestra alumn and tuba player! He majored in International Relations and Economics, but has a huge passion for music and all things orchestra. Outside of orchestra, He is the Social Outreach Chair for the Citizens’ Climate Lobby – a climate activism organization that pushes for bipartisan climate solutions – and was one of the sousaphone players in the William and Mary Pep Band. In his free time, he enjoys practicing tuba, listening to music, reading, and hanging out with friends.

Sean Miller ’25
Sean is an alumn who majored in Government and minored in German Studies. Sean comes from a family of musicians and has been playing cello since he was 11. Over his 10+ year musical journey, he has had the privilege of working and performing with many professional artists and orchestras. Sean currently sits inner circle for The Virginia Cello Ensembles based in his hometown of Fredericksburg, Virginia. Sean has enjoyed working with Professor Grandis and making music his friends here at William & Mary.

Mai Ishikawa ’25
Mai is an alumn who majored in Neuroscience and minored in Chemistry. She has played the viola since early elementary school, and she has been part of the Capitol Symphonic Youth Orchestras in northern VA and other district/regional orchestras. Mai had 2 years with the W&M Symphony Orchestra. Outside of music, Mai volunteers as a scribe at the Lackey Clinic in Yorktown, and she was also on the board for the Pre-Nursing Society at William and Mary. Mai hopes to attend nursing school and work in pediatrics!

Abby is a WMSO violinist alumn and has been in the orchestra since her freshman year. She is pursuing a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Outside of WMSO, she plays with a piano trio under the direction of Professor Cary and takes lessons with Professor Via. In her free time, she can be found identifying plants, scrapbooking, and watching movies with friends. She is very excited for a year of making music and working with the WMSO exec board!

Meghan is a senior bassoonist in WMSO and this is her third year in the ensemble! She’s a geology major interested specifically in marine geology, and is hoping to pursue grad school after graduating! Outside of WMSO, she is the Vice President of Mortar Board, a member in NKE, and part of numerous theater organizations across campus. In her free time, you can find her on a rock in the rock garden, hanging out with her roommate’s cat, or practicing for her next audition!

Kerris is a junior majoring in Psychology. She makes sure this wonderful website stays alive! (And updated.) This is her third year with the Symphony, and she falls more in love with it every rehearsal. When she’s not on the roof stargazing, or trying to finish her next art piece, she’s proud to be a part of Trippin’ On Brix Comedy and Project Heal.
