The William & Mary Symphony Orchestra Board are members of the orchestra elected to manage the Symphony’s administrative and social functions.

~ President ~
Gracie Gundlach

Gracie is a senior majoring in International Relations and minoring in German Studies. She calls northern Virginia home. Gracie has played viola since the fourth grade with various schools and regional orchestras. Most notably, Gracie played with 9th Street Chamber Music and worked part-time at Fairfax Fine Violins during high school. Gracie has been a member of WMSO since her freshman fall and had the incredible opportunity to travel abroad with WMSO in 2023 to Prague and Vienna. Outside of orchestra and academics, Gracie is a member of the Wargaming Lab, learns Korean and German, and enjoys working out. Upon graduation, Gracie hopes to attend law school and eventually work for an international non-profit organization or think tank.

Tyler Siegfried

Tyler is a junior majoring in Physics. He’s been playing trumpet since elementary school and has toured both the United States and Europe as a musician. In his free time he likes messing around with computers and playing bass guitar.

Langston Spencer-Hamm

Langston is a junior majoring in Economics. From Stafford, Virginia, he has been playing percussion since the 7th grade, whether it be in the symphonic band, wind ensemble, or the Marching Band drumline. He has been a part of the William & Mary Symphony Orchestra since his freshman year and enjoys every moment of it. Outside of the symphony, you can find Langston on the tennis courts, in the dining hall (he’s a big foodie), or just riding around on his bike.

Reece VanHimbergen

Reece is a junior majoring in Chemistry. He grew up in Richmond, VA. Reece has been a percussionist since 6th grade. He joined WMSO his freshman spring as a percussionist and has participated as a timpani player as well. He enjoys playing piano and guitar, spending time with friends, and playing games.

Cecilia Berger

Cecilia is a sophomore from Arlington, VA majoring in chemistry. She has been playing the violin since age three and has performed with various ensembles, including the DC Youth Orchestra and 9th Street Chamber Music. She has been a member of WMSO since fall of her freshman year. Outside of music, Cecilia enjoys acting in theatrical productions, birdwatching, and painting.

Miranda Husband-Wood

Miranda is a junior from Chesapeake, Virginia majoring in Human Health & Physiology. She’s been playing viola since the 5th grade in both symphonic and chamber orchestras. She’s been involved in WMSO since freshman year and LOVES it. Outside of symphony, you can catch Miranda at club swim, in the piano rooms, or just chilling outdoors.

Katie Peterson

Katie is a sophomore from Pittsburgh, PA majoring in International Relations. She began learning violin when she was six years old and has played in both school orchestras as well as PMEA state orchestras. Katie has been a member of WMSO since her freshman fall. Besides music, Katie enjoys playing tennis, spending time outdoors, and travelling. She spent this past summer studying abroad in Spain and doing a research project on bird conservation and protection.

Haley Gates

Haley is a sophomore with too many interests to declare a major yet. She joined WMSO fall of her freshman year, and it has quickly become her favorite part of campus. Haley has played flute since the sixth grade and has performed with various schools, state ensembles, and youth orchestras across the country. Not like that though – she’s a military kid. When she’s not in rehearsals or locked in a practice room, Haley enjoys studying French, hiking, and painting

Maeve McNamara

Maeve is a sophomore from Seekonk, Massachusetts and has been playing the French horn in WMSO since her freshman fall. She started playing the horn in the 7th grade, and also plays piano and flute. Maeve is on a pre-med track with an undeclared major. In her free time, she enjoys playing piano, walking or running in Colonial Williamsburg, Irish dancing, playing lacrosse, and being with friends.

Rhett Klauer

Rhett is a junior from the Richmond area majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Music. He has played viola since 6th grade, has been part of WMSO since his freshman year, and worked full time at Jan Hampton Violins last summer. Outside of music, Rhett enjoys learning about cybersecurity, speedsolving Rubik’s cubes, watching hockey, and studying geography.
