Anna is a senior majoring in Kinesiology with a Nutrition Concentration, and minoring in Biochemistry. She has played cello since tenth grade as well as piano since the third grade. Anna has been a member of WMSO since her freshman spring, and has cherished every minute of it.

Outside of orchestra, Anna serves as the treasurer for the Nu Kappa Epsilon Music Sorority, works part-time at the Cheese Shop, and ushers for Bruton Parish Church’s Candlelight Concert series in Colonial Williamsburg. Upon graduation, she plans to attend pharmacy school and pursue the clinical pharmacist route.

Gracie is a junior majoring in International Relations and minoring in German Studies. She calls northern Virginia home. Gracie has played viola since the fourth grade with various schools and regional orchestras. Most notably, Gracie played with 9^th Street Chamber Music and worked part-time at Fairfax Fine Violins during high school. Gracie has been a member of WMSO since her freshman fall and had the incredible opportunity to travel abroad with WMSO in 2023 to Prague and Vienna. She cherishes all the memories she has made thus far and is excited for more to come. This is Gracie’s first year serving on the executive board, and she is so happy to be working with this fantastic team. Outside of orchestra and academics, Gracie is a W&M club Vox, Planned Parenthood Generation Action board member, works part-time at the Global Research Institute, learns Korean and German, and enjoys working out. Upon graduation, Gracie hopes to attend law school and eventually work for an international non-profit organization or think tank.

Hello! My name is Nash English (he/him), and I am the William and Mary Symphony Orchestra Treasurer and tuba player! I am a Senior majoring in International Relations and Economics, but I have a huge passion for music and all things orchestra.

Outside of orchestra, I am the Social Outreach Chair for the Citizens’ Climate Lobby – a climate activism organization that pushes for bipartisan climate solutions – and one of the sousaphone players in the William and Mary Pep Band. In my free time, I enjoy practicing tuba, listening to music, reading, and hanging out with my friends. I also love meeting new people, and I hope I get to meet you too! Sean is a senior majoring in Government and minoring in German Studies. Sean comes from a family of musicians and has been playing cello since he was 11. Over his 10+ year musical journey, he has had the privilege of working and performing with many professional artists and orchestras.

In addition to the W&M Symphony Orchestra, Sean currently sits inner circle for The Virginia Cello Ensembles based in his hometown of Fredericksburg, Virginia. Sean has enjoyed working with Professor Grandis and making music his friends here at William & Mary and is excited to serve his last year on the WMSO Board as Publicity Chair.

Mai is a senior majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Chemistry. She has played the viola since early elementary school, and she has been part of the Capitol Symphonic Youth Orchestras in northern VA and other district/regional orchestras. This is Mai’s second year with the W&M Symphony Orchestra.

Outside of music, Mai volunteers as a scribe at the Lackey Clinic in Yorktown, and she is also on the board for the Pre-Nursing Society at William and Mary. Mai hopes to attend nursing school after graduation and work in pediatrics!

Ben is a sophomore studying Computer Science and Philosophy. He has played clarinet throughout high school and has been part of WMSO since his freshman year.
