Mini FAQ!
Q: May I audition with a secondary instrument?
A: You may do so to demonstrate special proficiency (ex. piccolo, english horn, bass clarinet, E clar., contrabassoon, etc.). While auxiliary instruments are welcome, they are NOT required.
Q: Do I play the first or second part for my auditions?
A: Whichever part you wish to play in the orchestra, bring to your audition. Though, auditioning with the first part may help you best show off your skills!
Q: I have a question that is not answered here. Who should I reach out to?
A: Feel free to contact our director, Dr. Grandis, at dfgrandis@wm.edu with any questions you may have regarding the audition process. You may also opt to email a member of our board.

What are we playing?
Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 in E minor, “From the New World”, Op. 95, B. 178
